You don't need an engineer either. You need to use Google and read about 3D printing. It's quite simple, really. I started a company earlier this year, and in less than a week, I learned how to draft my own 3D models (I use AutoDesk Fusion360) and sent my files to www.xometry.com for printing. They sent me my prototype parts in the mail in a few days. 3D printing does have its limitations, particularly around surface texture and dimensioning challenges, but it's absolutely incredible how easy it makes it to outsource a part for cheap.

Also, 3D printing saves you money for 1 or 2 pieces, but I've found injection molding to be the proper manufacturing method for higher volume production. Also, if heat and chemical resistance are properties you want in a firearm (they are), I have not found anything suitable and vetted in the 3D printing world (maybe in bleeding edge technologies like CF or Kevlar impregnated 3D, but $$$), whereas there are plenty of polymer recipes available for good injection molded parts. Injection molding also leads to smoother surfaces, if done correctly. The only problem with injection molding is paying for the mold the 1st time. It makes more sense to prototype with 3D and then produce with HPIM.

That is all the advice I will give for free. If you want more, make me a silent partner and pay me.

Good advice, this is the direction I am attempting. The reason I believe in finding a firearms engineer with experience in 3d printer? Because, why do I want to learn off my mistakes when there will be far less mistakes with the expert. I believe in individuals that are really good at one thing and not jack of all trades masters at none. It is always better to do any project (just like the military) with specialist for each section. The outcome is always better. Football receivers are normally not good linemen. Anyways, thank you for your input. You are right inline with my thinking. The only exception I have with what you wrote. Nobody gets paid including me. We invest our time, knowledge, labor with the probability of future high returns. You see, many can imagine create and build. However, there must be money, business connections, advertising, marketing, sales, accounting, legal, warehousing, shipping, and indirect expenses. I have everything good and ready. I would prefer an investor that would only have to invest his or her time to R&D as a firearms engineer with a background in 3d printing and firearms design in the South Florida Area.

(all good) #4 Be able to build 4 prototypes with intermediate Gunsmith shop tools and a 3d high quality Metals / Polymer products printer (have shop & tools no printer or knowledge of use).

Bottom line. I know how to build it. With the right partner, patent, and shop, this project will be the first of many future ideas I can create.

I have 30 years plus experience in structural engineering and can fix or build just about anything with blueprints and the right tools and crew. My IQ is above average and does not affect my social abilities or my ability to see way outside the box. If I had patent the 1000 plus ideas I have developed I would of been richer then most. So what I am saying is, just because I can show you how to build a profitable and fun to own idea, does not mean it would stop there.

I need a real partner or preferably a gun manufacture (07) that has a shop and a few people in the South Florida Area. I would not charge fees and only want points on the gross return not net.

Synopsis, I KNOW HOW TO BUILD A MP7 CLASS OF GUN for civilians and LE/MIL with a Caliber that will not penetrate advanced armor like the 4.6 X 30mm or the neighbors house. Another-words, friendly er.

serious FFL 07 only reply. I don't know if OK to put my email ? Don't want to break any rules. henry and lucys dad at msn

Go start a kickstarter or something. I don't have much faith in anyone who uses IQ as a measure of intellect. The fact you started bragging about your supposed "above average IQ" (if the average is 100, you might have 105) and about how rich you'd be if you had done this already, proves that clearly those 5 extra IQ points must be messing with your social abilities. Or somethin'.

I can produce an exact copy in semi.
Other than a few die hard HK lovers here you might sell a hundred or so.
Can't use a sear so don't see sales covering tooling cost/production.
Anyone want to buy a 1000 units I'll expedite production.
