    Default K3P to G3K fail

Well I tried to go the easy route and find a 5/8x24 threaded qlong flash hider to get to 16” but have failed. I can’t believe there isn’t one out there somewhere?!?. My barrel is a bit longer than the advertised 12.5” so had hoped it would work....

Not up to government paperwork so off to consignment at the local gun shop.

Man, sorry to hear. The woes of PTR changing their threading, sometimes ideas are better left in the head.

Is SBRing totally out of the question? And why not go with a brace?

These guys have some extra long compensators including at least one 5.5" steel option. I don't think I'd entertain any of the aluminum stuff.
If you are looking for a particular look or style that's a different problem. IF it is simple you might look up a machine shop.

Ran into this but it is out of stock:

3.5" but probably won't get you quite enough:

Or this listed as a 5.5" barrel extender with 6 short slots: https://northerngunparts.com/ar-15m-...shhider-1.aspx

But the classic HK look long flash hider comes up 15-1 in everything I've found so far.

StarWolf, thanks for the links. Appreciate the work! All I need is one of rtg’s long ones and would be set but they don’t make 5/8x24. Brutal.... again Thank you for the links.

Here's a crazy Spartan version of the 4 prong. https://moriartiarmaments.com/ar-10-...tainless-steel

I bet that would look pretty sick.

Did you buy the 3.8" G28 muzzle break, is that the one pictured?

Yep bought that one figured since my barrel was a bit longer it might work. If only RTG had the long ones in the right thread pattern. That one you linked could make kabobs with those spikes!

If I could find one of the M60 style ones but JP Enterprises bought out the company that made them and does have them anymore. The mpi ones will fit but I understand they crack.
