Default Are HK german proof marks limited to hk?

I saw a Walther PPS with the same antler proof mark as with the other proof mark, not sure what it is, an angel marked "N" below it. Same as HK.
Are those just typical German marks or are they associated with HK. Their date codes are the same as HK also.

Also while I'm here, on my p2000 under the slide where the recoil spring goes into it's marked D6. Does anybody know what that means?

German guns go through proofing like many other Euro countries. They are not unique to HK by any stretch.

    Perhaps G3 can chime in.

It just means that both HK and Walther have their guns proofed at the Ulm proof house. The 'N' means that the guns have been proofed with modern Nitrocellulose powder.

The "angel" is actually a "Bundesadler" or "Federal Eagle". A common mark found on German federal insignia.

These markings are not unique to HK, and many other German made pistols (SIG and Walther for instance) have them.

Maybe it is an angel after all...an Angel of Death!

Jeff Hanneman dies in 2013, the following year the Angel of Death proof mark is removed from all our beloved HK firearms.

The ball is now in your court, bruh.
