As said above Yes "we are getting post's like this every week". It is a very valid question. I had a hard time deciding one over the other and I have been shooting and carrying for many years. There are so many more choices now and there are subtle differences between these firearms. First of all keep asking the questions you new guys, that is how you learn, second if at all possible shoot em both. If you cannot do that at least hold them both at your LGS. If it feels right you will know it, if there is a doubt pass on it unless you can get a chance to change the backstraps. I doubt if your LGS will let you do that but maybe a buddy could help. Anyway with H&K there are a lot of options and consider as many as you can. Then make the right choice for you and of course make it an H&K.

I have both, I EDC a P2Ksk, but have carried the P30sk a couple of times. Both shoot great and both conceal well. I AIWB here in NOLA because it is rarely cold enough for me to wear a jacket as my cover clothing. Plus it makes me feel alive knowing my pecker might get shot off if I am not on point with my draw.

Personally and know this is pure vanity on my part. I think the P2Ksk is sexy. I think the P2k is sexy too, so dont get it twisted up.
Side by side, for me, I grab the P2Ksk because I like the way it looks. They both do the same thing and I shoot them about the same. The P2Ksk just looks classier and since Im a trashy kind of dude, the P2Ksk and my LACO watch make me feel classy.
Nobody scrolls down a few pages anymore before asking a question. I also have both, both have their own pros/cons. I prefer the grip versatility on the P30sk but wouldn't get rid of my P2000sk or P2000 pistols which offer calibers choice.

Hoping to try out the feel of a P30sk this spring. The only issue with my 2000sk is the slight slipperiness of the checkering while shooting.

PS, anybody in CT with a p30sk, PM me please :)

Both great guns. But I favor the P30sk. Everyone has their personal preferences.

    Default P30sk vs p2000sk

I bought a P30sk right when they came out. It is an HK with all the flawlessness that means, but I've never been happy with it.
Bought a P2000 yesterday and can't wait to get it to the range. The feel of the 2000 is IMO far superior to the P30sk.
A grip extension mag for the P30sk might be a game changer.
    My 2 cents...

    I own both.
    Both great guns.
It really comes down to personal preference.
And I really prefer the P30SK
For me, better ergonomics and I shoot it better.

The good news is you can't lose with either one!

    Good Luck

    Barth

BTW mine prefers 147 gr and it's a tack driver.
