    Just thinking out loud here...

But thinking about getting a new barrel for it and keeping the original in as good as condition as possible. This would save the original barrel and give me a 5R barrel.

Is the 5R barrel that much better than the land and groove barrel?

Funds won't allow it at the moment. I wish I could.

So it seems I have a problem. I want to keep this thing in great shape but also want to shoot the piss out of it. I wonder if there is somebody out there that could give it a good home and keep it nice. Then I could just get a shooter.

Just shoot it, it's not that collectible.

Yeah, I wouldn't stress too much about it. Just treat it well and don't keep it in the bed of your pickup truck and it will hold most of its value and you'll get to enjoy it.

I tend to overthink things sometimes. I may get a new barrel for it anyway, just to keep the original in good condition and just keep on shooting.

Anybody here know the best vendor that could get me the best price on a barrel? I think I might pick up a spare firing pin as well since that was a part that was prone to failure on the older models.
