I may be in the distant minority here, but I would always take a rifle purchase over a pistol. If you must, I would say grab the HK45… considering you have small hands and this will get you the slimmest grip next to the HK45C which you disliked.

Unfortunately the OP lives in NY and with the safe act, an AR is a no go.

Ifor it were a rifle purchase that won out, it would most likely be a CZ 527, Ruger Scout or Savage Scout. Leaning CZ. I'm sick of trying to find a smith that satisfies me as a spot filler for the AR15, but wanted something to target shoot with and have for shtf. Pistols and a shotgun for clays will get used most.

At the moment it's pretty much the CZ or the HK45 with LEM kit. A P30 is tempting but keeping the calibers to a minimum is appealing. P30 Coudersport be a nice Summer carry though. The idea crossed my mind to give the hk45c a 2nd chance too but I doubt it.
I carry the 1911s. They're slim and easy to hide. But their heft can make you sweaty.

USPc45 for the win. I spent a decade picking up mags here and there. I was going through a box I forgot I had and found 7, still in the plastic USPc45 mags. Add that to the 12 I already knew about and use....I have more money in mags than I do the actual gun.

To the OP. Either a USPc or the 45c. Ergos are better on the 45, both guns are built essentially the same way on the inside. I have gone LEM for all my new HK purchases, with just the two V1 USP's.

Are you guys finding a difference in recoil between the usp45c and hk45c? A shooter I know that I respect highly, finds the USPc to have noticeably harsher recoil.
I think the main reason the hk45c didn't do it for me is, its ergos are nowhere near as good as the I'll size. Almost top heavy too.

It will sound ludicrous here at HKPro to say this, but if you do not have a bolt action rifle yet go for the 527. Maybe you could trade in one of those 1911's later for an HK45 or the like. You might also take a look at Tikka rifles, they are very accurate for the money.

So with several guys on here stating they have small hands, would you tell me what that means? I've been waiting for Marco Rubio to let me in on it for months.

And no I'm not a Trump supporter. Just a smart a$$.

I love my FS USP40. I'd go with the USP45c.

    Enjoy the journey!

Hate this hk temptation. Learning how cheap the P2000 has become. Ugh. TANGENT!

What is it about the usp45c that make it's fans prefer it over the hk45c?
