I assume there was not enough interest for them to put out a 10mm.
Still, we have options for HK .45 models that surpass the 10mm in power: the .40super
Not as cheap to have a barrel made as it is for a Glock 21 or 30, but not a big deal either.

Realistically, 10mm was already on the decline by the time the USP came out in the mid 90's. The cartridge peaked in the 80's, mostly as a result of Don Johnson carrying a Bren 10 in Miami Vice. Once the .40 S&W came out, demand for 10mm pistols started dropping off, never to recover. I don't think there was anywhere close to enough demand for HK to ever consider marketing a 10mm pistol.

I think so, and likewise feeding a 10mm handgun a steady diet of full house 10mm isn't a roadmap for longevity. Probably that's why most factory 10mm isn't loaded much stouter than plain old .40 S&W.

No offense to any fans of the .40 S&W/10mm, but I've become somewhat dubious of the modern day practicality of those rounds.
