It is an incredible shooter. Just add two things as Longduck suggested.
You will see how easy is to shoot 500 rounds of 9mm in an afternoon.
I appreciate all of the information available on the board....as a roller-lock noob I have been in info-gathering mode since I joined the sight. Will eventually make a move!

You won't regret it. The softest shooting 9mm I've ever encountered.

Hey OP, I got your back! Obviously an HK fan but I wasn't about to drop that much either. The 4" barrel turned me off as well. Went with the CZ. Flame on!

Add me to the long list of people who wanted an MP5! However; I'll never own a FA MP5 but this little jewel called an SP5K is now in my collection since September. Shoots quite well and couldn't be happier

Just wait until HK stops importing them once again because demand will be so low. I'm looking to score another SP5K before that happens.

What about all those 922r parts you have to install? I think thats why the sp89 price stays high is because no stupid 922r.

922(r) applies to the SP89 as well. Those parts add to the cost but really aren't that much money. You will spend that much on ammo in one or two range visits.

An RCM Bolt Carrier, U.S. Charging handle, U.S. Trigger Group from HKParts is all that is needed to be able to use a German VFG and B&T stock. If you don't want to buy the Trigger Group, then bolt, charging handle, U.S. mag, U.S. VFG and Choate stock. It's not a big deal.

Oh wonderful... another 922(r) thread! These are just about as good as the chrome line barrel posts. Actually, we haven't had one of those in a while.... I think I'll start one up!
