I must be in the minority of those that are underwhelmed with the VP9. I loved it at first, but the more I shot it, the less impressed I was.
It's great to live in a free country where we can have differing opinions. I appreciate bystok's point of view, but for me the best 2 HK pistols would have to be the MP5 (it is a Machine PISTOL) and the MK23. I'm sure others would prefer one of the P7 series or the P9S. That's what makes this forum such an interesting place.
If "Dirty Harry" had been made in 1996:
"I know what you're thinking: 'Did he fire twelve shots or only eleven?' Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement, I've kinda lost track myself. But being this is a HK MARK 23, the only offensive handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel lucky?' Well, do ya, punk?"
I agree, you just can't pick two. What about the p7 series, Mark 23 and the whole USP line??? They are all great!!! While I don't have any of the VP series, I do agree with the post that the 9mm expert is fantastic. You should try the Mark 23 or 45 Expert too.
I would have to opine The Mark 23 and the Expert. Whenever I hold either I begin to have Profound Revelations. :)
I have theMark 23 and the Expert 9 and I just Liberated a 45 from commiefornia. I hope it does not get confiscated at the border on its way out. :) Tracking says it left LA on the 13th and has not been heard from since.
A Diamond is just a piece of coal that made good under pressure!
Everyone's hands, eyes, shooting style, shooting ability, perspective, etc. are different. What works for you might not work as well for me. Neither of your top two would be mine. Nothing puts a bigger smile on the face and fills one with prestige as the Mark 23. The attention alone, that the P7 draws, demands it a spot at the top as well. In my opinion more thought needs to be given to your 3&4 spots. On engineering alone they win.
