Default HK Expert 9MM Jet Funnel breech "gap"

I have noticed that I can see a slight gap between the slide and breech of my expert. There's enough room to see the brass through the crack on the right side even though the rest of the gun locks up tight. Is that normal on the expert?

I think it's normal on most HK's. It is, essentially, a visual loaded chamber indicator.

I'm not used to it at all. My P7 has the loaded chamber indicator, but you can't visually see the round. The Mark 23 locks up super tight as well with no gap at all.

My USP9 fs, P30s, and two P30LS's that I have access to all have the "window".

Most modern pistols have that "feature". Totally normal. My Glocks and Sigs and VP40 and USP compact .40 all do it. I like it cuz I look in that instead of press checking the gun
