Default Laser for a VP9 SK

I bought a rail mounting Crimson Trace CMR 206 green laser for another pistol, but wanted to try it on the VP9SK. Unfortunately, it doesn't fit the SK model, although it does on the full sized VP9. Can anyone recommend a laser for the smaller SK model? I am thinking about carrying the SK almost exclusively, and I'm intrigued by the laser.....my elderly eyes can't see the iron sights all that well even with glasses. Testing the laser on another handgun was much quicker and more fun to shoot - I can see the laser 'dot' quickly and clearly. I have tried red-dots (not lasers) on rifles and pistols and they do not work well for me.

So, I am thinking either get another laser for the VP9 SK or getting an H&K P30sk, which I understand the CMR 206 does fit.

Anyone have suggestions? Yes, I know, I COULD get the P30; great excuse for another pistol, eh? <wink, wink>

I have a small lasermax on my P30sk, can't find a picture of it but I did try it on one of my other pistols and this is the only picture I can find. It fits all my SKs nicely.Laser for a VP9 SK-img_4160.jpg

OK, I mounted it on the VP9SK to show how it fits, It can be mounted using either of the 2 front slots. It is the LaserMax Micro 2.

Thanks for those three photos. Could the laser be mounted back closer to the trigger guard? I need to do more research on how that laser is turned ON/OFF. Appears that far forward on the frame it would no be possible for my size 7 glove-sized fingers to reach it.

Thanks for the reply. Not that I'm a cheapskate, but Wow, Viridian green lazers are expensive, at least the green one! The one I have now on a CZ P-07 is a green Crimson Trace. Nice laser that I got for about $115, but then the Crimson Trace is not auto-ON, and it doesn't fit the VP9sk. I suspect, also, that there are more holster choices with the Viridian maybe?

agreed but studies show that the green is easier for the eye to see
