I love my VP9 but would like to get some trigger work done to lighten the pull. I have been researching both Gray Guns and Lazy Wolf Guns. Both seem to know what they are doing ( I understand Rick worked at GG before starting LWG). Does any one have personal experience with either they can share? Also, has anyone installed a Lobos trigger? If so, what are your thoughts?

If you simply want to lighten the trigger, then look at the Ultra Match Spring Set. I installed them in my VP9 and it lightened up my trigger very nicely. If you have basic mechanical skills you should have little trouble installing it using the youtube videos as a guide. Runs about $20 for the springs plus shipping.

If there are other concerns you have with the trigger then the spring set may not be the answer, but if you are happy with everything, but the trigger pull the spring set is great.

Depends on what you're looking for. If you want a cleaner break and lighter pull for competition, I get that. If you want to use it as a carry gun, I would suggest reconsidering because 5.5 lbs is a pretty light trigger, and it will drop to about 5 lbs with some use. You probably don't want too light a trigger for EDC because of the risk of NDs and the ability to back off the trigger if you decide not to fire. Although I like the 4.5 pounds my VP9 with the match sear spring produced, I decided to keep my VP9SK I use for EDC as stock because I didn't want too light of a trigger.

Just something to consider.

I'm running my vp9 through two steels and a uspsa per month. It's getting run hard and I'm looking at changing my LE sights to Dawson precision and lightening up the trigger.

Will the ultra match kit from HK parts help with the reset take up or they just make the pull lighter?

I have one VP9 with Lobos trigger that Rick at LAzy Wolf Guns installed along with his action work and another VP9 that I sent in to Gray Guns for there action job. The Lobos/LWG action work and trigger resulted in a truly great trigger with limited take up and a crisp, smooth break better that any other non-1911 pistol I have ever fired. The Gray Guns VP9 is excellent but there is more take up and the trigger is just not as nice still outstanding but not quite to the level of the work Rick does IMO. You will not go wrong with either just don't get in a hurry. Also, shipping to that area is a a bit odd I had some drama with FEDEX there and both shops told me that is not unusual check with UPS instead.
