I say get the P2000. I'm probably in the minority but on my EDC pistols I prefer the V2 on my P2000 9mm and TGS LEM on my USPc .45 SS. TooSixy is right on, variety is the spice of life. I have yet to find an HK pistol I don't like! Hope to expand my HK diversity soon!

The P30SK is different enough, Std/L I have/prefer the Std.
    P2000 and you’ll have a Kompact/Series-I between your L and SK.
Quite different and the mother that started it all, USPC (9mm for compatibility). The rail, I have yet to do a Jack Bauer operation.

The shorty slide release solved that issue completely for me on my P30’s. I also installed one on my s/o’s P30Sk.

I vote P2000 because it offers a size in between the P30L and P30sk in terms of grip length.

If you get a P30, it will be almost the same thing as your P30L and most likely you will shoot one over the other most of the time. The other one will just sit in the safe.

The P2000 fills a nice niche of a compact pistol that rivals the Glock 19. For me, it's a personal favorite because it is small enough to conceal easily and large enough to handle like a full size pistol.
    Current:
    HK45 v1
    P2000 v3 9mm
    P2000 v2 --> v1 9mm
    USP v1 9mm
    VP9 LE Grey

    Past:
    P2000sk v3 .40 (traded for the USP9)
P30L v3 9mm (sold before moving to California)

    +1

And to me, the P2000 feels a notch above the P30 in terms of overall heft and toughness.

Which speaks volume since the P30 is no slouch.

Just be aware that the P2000 LEM is heavy (7.5lb trigger) and the P30 LEM is light (4.5lb trigger) from the factory. The P2000 LEM can be converted to a light LEM.

I have the P2000 LEM and the P30L LEM, and they are awesome pistols. It took me longer to acclimate and master the P2000 LEM because of the heavier trigger, and I now can shoot it as well as the P30L LEM.

You'll probably end up with both.

    Default P2000

You've already got a P30L on the way.
Branch out and get the P2000.
    I own both P30 and P2000 (LEM).
For me, the P2000 conceals and carries better
P30L will make an outstanding Home Defense gun.

Well said. The P2000 is a duty pistol in compact clothes. Love the light LEM, too.

My P2000 V1 9mm is my go-to carry... with 2 spare mags, that's 40 rounds that I can conceal with heavier clothing!
    HK VP9, P2000SK 9mm, P2000 9mm, 45c, USP 45 SS (sold), P30L, Mark 23 & PCS 9
