My department is going to authorize the VP9-B in the very near future. Likely, after holidays. I got one, love it, never had a gun feel so good in my hands. Does anyone know when or if a VP9SK-B is in the pipeline?

See above ^^^. The Aimpoint connection is that they will unveil the slide mounted ACRO optic at the SHOT and apparently HK has been working on the adapter plate for that ACRO.
ďWhen you wake up in the morning, Pooh," said Piglet at last, "what's the first thing you say to yourself?"
"What's for breakfast?" said Pooh. "What do you say, Piglet?"
"I say, I wonder what's going to happen exciting today?" said Piglet.
Pooh nodded thoughtfully. "It's the same thing," he said.Ē

I hope youíre right! I think this is the third year Iíve heard it though. I guess weíll be finding out soon. I just picked up a new OR pistol from another brand I havenít fired yet. I would like to part ways with it for a VP9OR.

I donít get why people are hesitant to just mill a VP9 slide.

For one, many companies say that it shouldnít be milled and wonít do it. Companies like ATEi. Secondly, with the red dot industry changing quickly, youíre marrying a footprint that may or may not be around tomorrow or your choices may change as technology changes.

For example, I have a Glock milled for an RMR. Itís my daily carry gun. The RMR is a fantastic sight and the only one Iíd trust on a defensive tool at this time. However, for a gaming gun, Iíve found the DPP to be superior in many ways. Now the aimpoint may be coming to market. I cannot install either on my Glock.

I have three VP9 direct milled slides, but I would really like a factory optic option. Direct milling limits you to one specific optic, and with a tight pocket, it is even possible a replacement optic of the same type might not fit without modification, if there is variation between the optic your slide is milled for and the replacement optic.

I had my slide milled for an RMR and Iím not looking back. No issues, and Iím pretty sure it will always wear an RMR. And if by some chance, someone comes up with something better that I MUST have, I buy a new slide. At this point Iím married to an RMR. But I can think of worse situations to be in.
