Most HK owners have OCD. Still a valid question to post here.

Anybody know if the welds are done by human beings or by robots?
If "Dirty Harry" had been made in 1996:
"I know what you're thinking: 'Did he fire twelve shots or only eleven?' Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement, I've kinda lost track myself. But being this is a HK MARK 23, the only offensive handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel lucky?' Well, do ya, punk?"

Of all the places to have a funky weld, Murphy did you no favors on that one.

Wow, now that's some quality German workmanship.

Maybe it was made on the Wednesday after Oktoberfest ended.

Is this something I could contact CS about and see if they would replace just the bolt? The rest of the gun looks great in terms of craftsmanship.

If it was for a collection I would probably have it looked at but if its a shooter you won't notice it after a while. Like anything, no matter how careful you are if you use it something eventually will happen. :) I have 3 sporty cars. You always will notice something that wasn't there before. ;)

Much cleaner--- this is one of many reasons that I am not interested in "new production" firearms--- you see it industry-wide--- give me "classic" firearms with classic workmanship!!!
