Default New USP9 Tactical- Sight Question

Hello, I just bought a new usp9 tac that came with the mepro adjustable night sights. I never had adjustable sights. Two questions:

1.) Does anyone know the front sight width and the rear notch width on these?

2.) Are you suppose to be able to move the rear sight by hand back and forth? The base doesnt move but I can push the windage part back and forth. It resets everytime to the same spot but wasnt sure if thats normal.

    Thanks!

    2. You use the sight adjustment tool and turn the screws located on top or right side of the rear sight (top for elevation, side for lateral).

I know to use the screws but is it normal that I can push the sight back and forth by hand? I figured it be rock solid unless you turned the screws

No, not normal. You bought it new, call hkcs and send the video. Obviously that gun won't hold zero. Let us know how they manage it. Hopefully it's just a bad site, and not the slide milled wrong.

I will call on Monday. I never had adjustable sights so I wasnt sure. It feels springy and just pops back into place when I release tension but it did concern me. Ive never been able to wiggle a sight by hand.

Can anyone confirm this who has the mepro adjustable sights? Im starting to think its normal to be able to push the rear sight back and forth by hand. Its under spring tension and always goes right back into place. The base of the sight is rock solid...its just the blade that can be wiggled

It is normal. I have installed more than a dozen of these Meps.
