Default Chop P30 Grip to SK length recommendation.

Who would you recommend to chop a P30 grip to an SK length?

I'm sure there is someone who is good at this, but IMHO I would not do it. I assume you are cutting it down for carry. Would you have 1000% confidence in it? I would keep the the full size gun and buy an SK, or trade it in on the SK. Also as a cut down Frankenstein gun, it would have zero value.

I'd go buy an SK...two is one, one is none.

I don't think it is possible because of hammer spring.

I'm not even 100% sure it is possible either. I have a Glock 19 with the grip chopped to a 26 and I really like it and it has been perfectly reliable. I am not too worried about reliability with the HK. I just have an affinity for guns with long barrels and short grips.

That is what I was thinking. Maybe a VP9 would be a better option.

Why would you butcher a perfectly good gun? Just get the gun you want...

If HK made a long slide with a subcompact grip I would. Until then I will have to become a butcher I suppose.

didn't someone recently post an image of a fullsize slide on an SK frame? If I were in the market for a "commander" type set up like this, I'd look into crossing an SK frame with a fullsize slide/barrel combo. I wouldn't get into chopping the grip. I think the main spring may prevent the chop/chop from working anyway..
