Default P7M13 Long Slide? Anybody ever see one of these before?

I saw this posting over on the German Gunsmithing forums site. This a P7 I have never seen before, anybody know any history on these? I am not connected in any way with this pistol, just posting the link in case anyone is interested.

    https://www.vdb-waffen.de/de/waffenm...html?s=1&o=neu

EDIT: Looks like the pistol I originally saw and linked to has been sold or withdrawn, that is why the link no longer works.

Looks like some kind of comp on a threaded barrel. There is a picture of a real long slide floating around, and it looks sick!! I think it was custom made though.

The product description has been changed since the dealer first listed it a few days ago. In the beginning it said it was modified by H&K, now it states it was modified my Waffen Oschatz, a very well respected gunsmith here in Germany. I reckon it is a one-off piece and didn’t come from H&K in that condition.

This is definitely an interesting take on the P7, but my question is, why?

It LOOKS kind of cool, but seems like a lot of work and expense for a pistol that already shoots very flat with little recoil or flip in 9mm.

If anyone need someone to export it for them, feel free to PM me.

These long slide variants come up for sale fairly regularly in Germany: https://www.hermann-historica.de/en/...&currentpos=14

Importing them to the U.S. is difficult.

Here are mine. I always thought the recoil of the P7 was rather sharp. The compensator definitely softens the recoil.

That’s the one on top in my photo. He built 18 of them in the 1980’s. That’s #19.
