Default VP9 Price Surge, or Prices Back to Norm?

I've recently parted out my last Glock and was putting the money towards a VP9 Tactical and noticed that the price had went up some 70-$100 since I originally planned to pick one up (1-2months ago). I also noticed my VP9sk (RAL8000 w/ HK Brown cerakoted slide) which I paid $560ish for had also gone up in price to the $700s from the same distributor.

Are these prices going up because summer is over, thus going back to the norms? Or are prices going up because the holiday season is beginning? (Meaning I should wait until after the holidays). Just looking for some input, thanks.

My dealer cost on VP9TLE has been the same from all my distributors. On rare occasions, one of them might reduce price a few dollars when they are overstocked.

I would find a new honest distributor.

I've noticed that the prices at Grabagun.com have gone up just a little bit.

I ended up ordering a VP9T for 600 and some change. It only comes with the standard lum sites and the 10 round magazines but I'll be changing the sites regardless and will just sell the magazines.

Heyas WhiskeyActual- I'm afraid to say that I don't really keep up on the prices of the tactical models. But, from what I just looked at on buds, the lowest they had one for was 620, and the others were closer to 700, so that sounds pretty good, if thats new! :)

As for what they're asking for that SK, I'd give that a big, fat NO. Unless there's something else about that pistol that makes it worth more, even with the 'kote there's no way I'd pay that much for a regular VP9sk.

It was just brought to my attention last night, that there's talk about a bill going up for vote, on allowing CCW holders to carry across state lines, into states that don't have it, and don't ummm.... (can't think of the word). Well, they don't respect the permit, from the other states. THAT might be what could be causing the jump in prices, some dealers thinking they're gonna make some extra from that, but I dunno.

Thanks @DarkeWolf , that's pretty informal. I did order the tactical model for $620. Never had an issue with bud's and they've been good to me. Also paid $620 for my HK45. I believe they take certain number of guns from stock, drop the price and once that particular selection sells out it's back to normal prices for the rest available. I've seen PX4 Storms and M&P 2.0 variants in the low $400s. I believe the 2.0c was $380ish at one point.

I did go back to look for the sk I saw for ~700 but, found nothing so that may have been a misread on my part.

People who buy firearms as a great investment are in for a "BIG" let down, many learn this when they try selling or trading them.

Well, I went to the store today to get a Walther PPQ. Just got back with a VP9, 3-15 round mags and tru-dot night sights. New in box for 540 out the door. Had to sign up for a new forum. Did I do good?
