Sorry to hear that suppressors are not an option for you at the moment. Since 2013 (or 2011 - can't remember exactly), here in France, we had to request a special permit for a suppressor which was considered a restricted gun part (but there was no tax or fee to pay). As of August 1 this year, a special permit is no longer needed, you just buy it. This is one of the very few points where French gun laws are actually better than in the USA. The compensator does look wicked, and as the video points out, it gives the MARK 23 just that little bit of extra length that it was missing from the factory

If "Dirty Harry" had been made in 1996:
"I know what you're thinking: 'Did he fire twelve shots or only eleven?' Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement, I've kinda lost track myself. But being this is a HK MARK 23, the only offensive handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel lucky?' Well, do ya, punk?"

Reflexively, I dismissed the idea of a match weight on the Mark 23 given purpose of it. But having seen the pics by IMM Holdings, I've changed my mind. The weight without the rail looks sleek and gives the Mark a very nice presence. I can see where the railed offering at HKParts would provide more mounting options without looking out of place although the compensator ports look a bit busy. Noted is that some may not be able to enjoy a suppressor but would like the dampening effect so this looks like a viable option. I might even tip for one after the holidays.

I emailed both sources and asked if they would be willing to ship to Germany. It is Saturday here so I don't expect a response for two or three days. Will notify you when I do.

Maybe I'm the weirdo here but I'd sooner take a dump in the driver seat if a vintage Ferrari than put that goofy contraption on a classic like the 23.

I would be very leery of the weight without the screw to mount it to the trigger guard. I tried making a mount and it moved on the rails as clamping force has to be extreme for it to retain it position under the shock of recoil.

HKParts responded first. They will not ship overseas. They will only ship to a US address and what happens to it from there is not their responsibility.
