That is a shame. I was hoping to score another USP45CT.

I was talking to my LGS about some HKs I've been wanting to pick up and he was checking on them. Seems that there are a couple more runs of the USPs in the works.
I'm not sure why they would even want to phase out a pistol that sells very well. Only thing they could/should do is update it with a pic rail.

    What do you mean, runs"?
Picatinny rail is the ugliest thing. Ruins all the latest models.

Sorry, didn’t mean to sound “snarky “. While the USP is a great pistol, if you ever get a chance to handle and shoot a real Swiss P210, it is a work of art. The slide feels like it’s riding on ball bearings and trigger is truly like snapping a glass rod. I’m not talking about the new P210, though I’m sure it’s a fine pistol. I would make the case that the Swiss P210 is the finest production pistol from a quality and accuracy standpoint. From a military standpoint it’s heavy, eight rounds, and extremely expensive to produce, but I’m just talking about pull out the stops and make a great shooter. The Swiss are known for quality above all else.

They’re going to keep producing them, from what I understand some Euro countries are looking to purchase some.

Plenty of people use the USP to keep it around.

Would be nice if they came up with an updated version with a regular rail and cut for an optic though.

Yes, this. But for gods sake, don't go crazy changing a bunch of other stuff. Hell I don't even care about it being pre cut for an optic.
