Default IS H&K Phasing Out the USP Line?

Just curious. I've been interested in picking up another USP and asked my dealer to find one. All his distributors are out of Compact USPs in ANY caliber. I thought this was pretty weird so I wanted to check in and see what the story is. Thanks!

Good question. I will get a USP40 before they vanish into unobtainium. I get tired of striker fired and AR-15’s.

I doubt that HK is not going to continue to produce the USP

and if you can't find them, try GUN BROKER

If you are looking for a USED USP 40, try summit gun broker, I've purchased from them a couple of times. The LEO trade ins I got from them are in good shape.

    USP 40 Full size - $415 - HK USP

    USP 40 Compact - $450 - USP Compact 1

Smart man, the USP really is one of the best hand gun designs since the P35 Hi-Power and it's Browning modified tilting barrel, after all, most modern auto loaders use it, including the iconic USP.

The manager at my local gun store told me that he saw a notice stating that until the end of 2019, HK must fulfill government/military contracts which will preclude the production of any civilian-designated firearms due to production capacity issues. So, whatever is in the pipeline now for civilian sales is all it's going to be until the end of 2019. I haven't been able to verify that yet.

    This.
HK does not have multiple production lines to continuously produce multiple products simultaneously.
They are currently very busy with contract fulfillment.

RKS's website also stated something similar so I guess that's true, not on their RKS USA website though.

I hear you. At my LGS used counter, the USP40 (full and compacts) seem to sell faster than the other 40s.

I hear you again. Strikers are the appetizers. DA/SA, LEM, Match, and Hybrid Match/LEM are the meal and dessert depending on your mood.
