So I haven't dug through the rest of the thread but I had a few questions if i could:
    1. Does the long slide help a little with recoil like most long slides?
    2. Why does the factory long slide pistol not have the ports on it?

For sure, I shot mine side-by-side with one of my standard VP9's with the same ammo, and there's less felt recoil with the long slide. I also have one of my VP9's with the DPM Systems recoil spring assembly in it, and the long slide has even less felt recoil than that. May be different with different ammo, I'm shooting 147 grain bullets at around 950 fps.

I’m not sure about question 2, but I do shoot a bit more accurately with less felt recoil with the longslide; however, I don’t find it to be a massive difference since the VP9 already has fairly minimal recoil to begin with. I shot it side by side with a 5” PPQ, which is a pretty similar gun, and found the VP9 to have less muzzle flip. The longer sight radius, added barrel length, fiber optic sight, and cool factor definitely make it worth the price of admission for me anyways.

If nothing else it's disrespectful to the RO's and CRO's who run the match to have competitors purposely flaunting the rules.

I am sending an L slide to Primary Machine next week for a DP Pro installation.
It will work on the regular VP9.
The LPA sights will work on the VP series, P30 series, and HK45 series.

I don't understand the second question? The vp9L is from Hk and has the cuts in the slide. It's the only long slide made for the vp9.

I think he means that it should have a ported barrel, which would be a dumb move for H&K if they had ports.

Ahh, gotcha. Yeah, a ported barrel wouldn't be of interest to many people I don't think. Loud as can be and illegal for the divisions the vp9 is useful in in competition.

Exactly. Once it’s production legal I may use mine. Ported barrels would disqualify it.
