Rack the slide 100 times? That doesn't sound like a drag. I put 50 rounds of NATO then 400 rounds of S&B 124 grain through it in 2 trips to the range. Shoots fine and a lot more fun. I have well over a 1500 rounds through it now, from Federal Champion to Lawman 115 and 124. No issues at all. Nice gun.

My bad guys about the ports not being on the factory slide. I must have saw a odd picture somewhere and got the idea it didn't have them.

I'm running mine in limited minor. Which is what I usually shoot anyway with my USP's with jet funnel etc. But I do hope they find a way to get it production legal soon.

Is there still someone around here on the HK Shooting Team who can check on whether HK Usa is even interested in trying to get USPSA to approve it for Production? I kind of doubt they will since it's not a complete gun. USPSA Production allows OEM slide replacement but ONLY if the slide is the same length as the original. They'd have to get a ruling for an exception to allow the combination of the slide with a VP9 pistol to constitute a "VP9L" and allow that, or something along those lines. It definitely wouldn't be a competitive advantage issue, since there are other striker-fired options that are equal or greater in competitive potential (Q5SF especially). I wouldn't hold my breath on this one for sure.

You may have been thinking of the SFP9L.

First run, I tried several ammo types I had laying around, including Q4318, S&B 124, and Blazer Brass 115....not a single issue.

Some find, and well documented on numerous threads here, HKs can need a little break-in, either warmer ammo for first couple hundred and/or lock slide back and leave overnight...once broken in HKs run all but the weakest reloads without a glitch, based on my experience.

I contacted Troy McManus about it, and he stated that no exemption would be made--there needs to be 2,000 complete pistols made. As far as HK being interested--I don't know if HK Germany is interested or not. HK USA is, but that's not where the uppers come from. It bothered me at first, as I usually only shoot Production, but really quickly I just said F it...I just want to shoot it. So I bought an HK parts magwell, some extra factory 20 round mags, and changed my division to Limited-10 minor at Area 6. It's really an awesome pistol, and if it never gets on the Production list, I won't lose any sleep over it (but I hope it happens).

Was at my local dealer today looking at a couple for a upcoming purchase and he had one of the VP9 slide kits. Needless to say it came home with me lol and shot it later today. After a few minor adjustments for elevation it was shooting good, very accurate
