Rascal, I'm sorry that you're having such a hard time with the decision on which to get, for your next HK. :(
LOL Tho I admit, I usually have about 3-5 guns that I have to decide on which to get next, and then there's the ones that I totally forget about!
The outer dimensions are so similar, that the p2k sk is only very, very slightly larger. And the difference is miniscule. Not even noticeable.
I've only had the chance to handle a p2k once. And that was maaaaany moons ago. So I don't remember details from over ten years ago :( I've read users here who report that the p2k trigger is better than the p30. I only remember, when they came out...seeing one in the case and going "OMG that thing is small!"
With the p2k having been around for so much longer, there might be a better availability of holsters for it, but there might not...I don't really check around for holsters for guns that I don't own, hahaha.
I watched a review where the ‘expert’ showed how much better a certain Austrian pistol was than a comparable HK. in his eyes it wasn’t even close. You won’t go wrong with either HK. I say get the one you find the best deal on. You’re gonna end up buying more down the line anyhow…
But really, find a way to handle both before you buy. Trigger and dimensions feel very similar to me, but I liked the ergonomics of the p2000sk better.
I hate to admit it, but I also think the p2000sk looks much sexier than the p30sk, and that weighed in on my decision process.
I don't have a p2000, but would love to have one. I do have 4 p30's including the sk, and love it. The p30 is in no way inferior to any gun, in my opinion. If you can handle and shoot both that would be best, otherwise flip a coin. You'll be happy either way and probably end up with both:)
I found a P30SK V3 LE wih an incredibly smooth and light DA/SA; so much so compared to others I've tried, I'm wondering about light strikes with it(wrong hammer spring). Could this have happeded?
