I'm thinking to get a P2000SK and have been looking around at online dealers and local gun stores. It seems that these are pretty much out of stock where ever I have checked. I found one dealer that listed one as in stock for more than $1000, but I see no reason to pay such a premium.
An observation that I have gotten more than once is that HK pistols are manufactured in batches, and it could be weeks or months until another batch of P2000SK pistols arrives in the US. Too, some have suggested that the P2000SK is being phased out and at some point in the near future-- if manufacture has not already ceased permanently-- that it will cease sometime soon.
I'm in Southern California. Does anyone here know when the last batch of P2000SK pistols was imported, or when the next batch might be expected? Has manufacture of these ceased permanently? In particular I am interested in this package deal.

No intent to spread rumors. It seems plausible from a certain perspective: it is an old design, I'm unaware of any recent contracts from government organs for these, and they dropped the price. Who knows, that is why I am asking here.
I’m in SoCal, and it has been a long, long time since I shopped at Bass Pro. We have one near Ontario, but even so, a bit of a drive. Do they facilitate intra-chain transfers between stores? Even if they do, the ten-day waiting period we are required to observe out here means going out there twice, which I can avoid if I stick with something more local.
They did not drop the price of the P2000/SK series as much as they did for the HK45 and P30 series, but that is not an indication of any plan to discontinue the product line. There is another rumor about the P2000 that has been circulated for a few years now and it is just that: a rumor.
I’ve been waiting on my p2000sk since mid-December. HK CS told me a week ago to expect a shipment of the p2000sk to arrive from Germany late April early May. They are currently way behind fulfilling Military and Police orders currently and have a back-log of those orders before they start producing and shipping civilian orders. But... they said late April, early May... fingers crossed and praying that’s the case.
Quote "What is the downside to shopping via Gunbroker?
Only downside is you have to pay $35 shipping and whatever you shop charges you for the transfer. In Calif you will be charged sales tax on the GB price at the time you do your DROS.
But it is the exact model you are looking for. Many of here on Pro have bought dozens of guns on GB with no issues, you can ask the seller for additional photos.
No one really knows what goes on behind HK-DE closed doors, HK-USA will know when the containers leave port.
chuckster62’s post on the GB P200SK LE deal is decent, considering your CA circumstance. Low stock, on-roster and you’re subject to Eco101. As suggested, ask for pics – breech and hammer face, extractor claw and ejector, barrel front and hood, mags top front, date stamp (BI is 2018).
You’re still looking a good $700+ by the time you take it home, but HK you pay to play and cry once.
I guess CA gun laws work, for the good citizens.
Good luck.

Good advice, I will certainly do that. All told, assuming I got it for $650 off GB, with shipping, the $50 or so added by my local FFL, plus tax, DROS, all of that, it comes out to more than $800.
I heard from someone they were looking at these at a local chain, and the one that was in stock locally was all scratched up from life in the display case plus back and forth between the safe, so actual pictures from a dealer across the country would be a must.
Many thanks, but for the record, CA gun laws are generally ridiculous and getting worse, though in some respects it depends on the county out here. On a statewide level, leftists have a supermajority and they are basically reducing the supply of handguns very effectively. With respect to county CCW laws, many are shall-issue when it comes to CCW permits, but the blue urbanized counties (LA, SF) are never-issue in practice. Happily in Orange County, where I live, we have about 22,000 permit holders at this point. It's not shall-issue, but more like "probably issue with acceptable good cause and evidence to back it up."
I meant that in jest, as gun laws don’t affect the BG’s.
I was in Buena Park. They effectively banned/registered my AR’s in the first wave of AW’s ban in 1986, I left for CO in ’88 and good riddance.

Do you have a nuclear family outside of CA?
A lawyer I know-- I consider him to have a good amount of credibility-- is very sanguine that a perfect plaintiff might well get Roberti-Roos overturned via SCOTUS. Unrelated to the thread, but I've read that CO has become California-ish in their zeal, at certain levels, to part you from your ARs. Do you have nuclear family outside of CO?
I figure I'm stuck here in the PRC for another ten or fifteen years. I'm encouraging my kids to get out, and hoping one gets settled in a nice 2A-friendly state. One can always dream. I have family in NoCal and Oregon, and overseas. Overseas is worse for firearms owners.
Until then, I plan to keep on keeping on, renewing my CCW as long as the cost remains within a range I can afford. Sooner or later, the fit will hit the shan out here. But history shows, no one ever learns anything from history.
Gosh, the pistol pictured in your avatar looks so very interesting. I had no idea they made them in stainless. I don't want to take the thread sideways, but that photo is so interesting.
Regarding the P2000SK, that is very kind of you to offer.
I called Evan's a couple of days ago, and they have a P2000SK for rent. I can't recall if the guy told me the caliber; they may have more than one. I've not been to Evan's in a good long while, so to be direct, I am looking forward to going there. I've passed Evan's on SART many, many times, and I don't know why I never made the time, just once, to call on them. It's been a decade, at least, since I patronized that store. I almost feel guilty.
A friend has one in .40 S&W, as well. I've not fired it, but I was very impressed with the ergonomics, and that was the main impetus to get me looking for one. I've never owned an H&K firearm, though I have shot them from time to time.
I test-fired a P2000SK V3 a little more than a week ago and will pursue purchasing one. In the interim I emailed H&K USA customer service to ask when the flow might resume. They replied, in effect, that work on a large government contract has taken priority, and they hope to see more pistols in a few months.
I live about an hour from a Gander Outdoors....so I guess I could have a P2000sk in 5-7 business days. Could just an old invalid link. I think it's V3? HK is probably working on the M27.
We have had them show up periodically at our base exchanges. I decided I better grab one while I could—as you know, we have few HKs on “the list.” I got one in March 2019 (SN BH 121-0206XX). If you have other 9mm mags the P2KSK is a deal—takes all of those larger mags when you need more than ten rounds. You don’t want to know what I paid! Good luck!
I bought a used P2KSK and called customer service to find some information about it. While I was talking to the rep, I asked about incoming shipments, and was told essentially the same thing: July and October.
August is about half gone, but I don't see anything in stock at the dealers I normally look at. Seems like the batches haven't come stateside, at least not of the ones I'm interested in.
They have not arrived. The p30’s and p30sk’s did show up but not any p2000sk’s as I was promised long ago. I checked on this myself the last week of July. I was told the p2000 and p2000sk models were not on their arrival manifest for this July shipment. They “might” be on the October shipment but they could not guarantee that either CS said. Love my HK’s but not gonna lie. This is ridiculous! If, and a big if they show up in October I would have waited 11 months for one to show up I’ve had ordered (p2000sk)
I have seen p2000, p2000 sk, and USP full size re-appear online in July, August. Now they all but almost gone.
Would be nice to know what's coming in Oct.
October is already here on the other side of the world, like in Germany. I wonder if we'll see some P2000SK come to America this month?
I admit, I do like the P2000SK I bought used, even if I have been too busy to shoot it much. Maybe I'll pick up another, or even a P2000 if a deal presents itself.
Check my post on the HK Customer Service page. I asked this very question (what models in this October shipment). They list what’s on their manifest there. I’ve been waiting on a p2000sk V2 in .40 with NS since I ordered it on December 18th of last year!! Looks like it might finally be coming in. Good news is I found a very lightly used p2000sk V2 in 9mm a few months ago so it’s all good. But still want that brand new one in .40. I ordered 10 months ago. Dang the wait. What the wait has done has made me purchase a couple other HK models in the meantime that I have found here and there. 😉. It’s a sickness it’s it. 😁
Since you ordered your gun, does it mean it's on back-order? If so, would it be up to the dealer to work with its regional sales rep. to provide you with the status of your order instead of having you having to follow-up with HK CS many times like you have been doing?
I'm asking for my own knowledge because I'm in a similar situation where I've been looking for USP Compact in both 9mm and .40 S&W since 11/2018. I've been inquiring with several LGSs several times and was told the same thing - HK is busy with non-civilian market orders. I emailed HK CS in 04/2019 and followed up here (https://www.hkpro.com/forum/hk-customer-service/489746-how-responsive-hk-usa-cs-answering-email.html) about a week later since I didn't get a reply. I also called HK CS in 08/19 and a lady told me they were expecting shipments arriving from Germany in 09/19 and 10/19, nothing too specific in terms of quantity and where they will be going, except they would fulfill back-orders from LGSs first before online retailers. Fortunately, I was able to order a couple of LEM kits when they were back in stock in 08/2019. Now these kits are gone; the part number doesn't show up when you search on HK webshop anymore (https://www.hkpro.com/forum/hk-heads-up/497240-lem-kit-260204-a.html).
So now I wonder if should place a back-order to put myself "officially" in the queue.
