Thanks, I’ll run it by Straightgrain and see what he says about it. I know HK is mad busy and behind on current production but I don’t believe this is completely out of the realm. I’m sure if it were to happen, it would be well into the future before they materialized. Would be well worth the wait though.

Here is a video of Mike @ H&K at shot show in 2015 showing the OD and sand color pistols. To my knowledge, they were only made in 2015 and I see the number of 1000 each tossed out there in a couple threads but nothing in concrete. The date code on my full OD 45C is BF.

I believe all of them are BF date codes. If anyone has one of these with a date code other than BF, please let us know. I also believe there was just one run of these and can’t find any info to contradict otherwise.

BE=2014 is when they started making these.

I would buy two! OD Mark23 would be great! Always wondered why HK didn't build some in OD when they were making the Tan ones???

I have often wondered the same thing. Why did they opt not to make any OD MK 23’s when they were making all of the other colored framed USP’s and Tan MK 23. I wonder who at HK made the call on that one and why. I can only Imagine what they would be going for right now if they made them back then.

I IM’d Straightgrain about a group buy for them and he’s not very confident they will even consider it. I really wish they would!

I wonder how much pull an HK distributor has in making such a request? The run of 45’s and 45C’s we are talking about in this thread were made on a distributors request, were they not? I wonder if the same distributor or a larger one would be willing to do it on the MK 23’s.

@ecsuser also has a full OD HK45C just like mine, with BE date code as well, IIRC. Most of the full Sand that I have seen have BF date codes.

I believe some of these full colored HK45/HK45Cs were made in different batches from BE thru BF and I have not seen one with a BD date code except on the flyer when they were announced by HK in 2014.

Lipsey's also had a limited run of full Desert Tan HK45s with BD date code, not full Sand (RAL8000).

@sabre675 could probably confirm this (and thanks for posting pic of yours.) What is the date code on your full Sand HK45, sabre65?

    sabre675 and Tailflash like this.
