Default No slide lock USP .45 Tactical

I typically carry 12 round mags for work but have a good amount of 10 rounders I use for range mags. All are HK marked.

The 12 rounders all work as they're suppose to...slide locks back on empty mag without fail. The ten rounders not so much. Out of ten occasions I might get a slide lock once or twice and never consistently. All the mags are marked so I can track function from one to the next. Although I've not broken out the micrometer or calipers yet, a thorough visual inspections yields nothing regarding what the problem might be.

Not something I've gotten too worked up over as they're dedicated range mags but, it is annoying. Any thoughts?

You might want to check the mag spring for those 10 rounders. Get new springs if need to.

Yep, had the same problem with 1 mag of the 2 when I bought a used USPT.

I would say to replace the springs, I personally like Wolff springs. I would say if your fingers aren't holding down the slide release, then 90% of the time it is the magazine spring.
