"My girlfriend is just way too hot to have sex with. I think I'll save her for the next guy." Said no one. Ever. SHOOT IT.
Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid.

I thought that the New Jersey State Police crushed their P7M8’s when they were retired.

Hmmm not sure if some departments did or not. My FFL who was retired State Police still had his issued pistol. Not sure if maybe he retired before they got rid of them or hid barracks let everyone keep them.

Several states received what they felt was significant enough pressure about their former trooper guns getting back on the streets and being used in crimes that they elected to destroy them upon retirement. I know that NY and Massachusetts did this beginning in the 90’s. I have an unissued NJSP-marked P7 duty holster and saw a photo of a marked “test” P7 that supposedly was not owned by the NJSP and got into the consumer market after the state police returned it back to H&K after trials, but otherwise have not seen any ex-NJSP P7’s. Here’s one of several articles about the NJ Attorney General’s order to melt 3000 P7’s after they’d been used as the NJSP duty weapon for 18 years -

I'm with you- I went thru this (briefly) when I got my unfired P7m8 back in December. Needless to say, I got over it and it is (happily) no longer unfired.

The shop I bought it from here in Indianapolis has another one that appears new/unfired if anyone is interested. Just PM me.

Apples and oranges - something about appreciation.
