My buddy let me look at his new VP40 -- which is what started me on my H&K kick. Ended up trading each ha fun I owned for something H&K instead, starting with my G30S for a VP9! Never looked back.

Same thing happened to me. Wife said I had to get another Vp 40. I now have 2 of them. A black and od green. Love everything about them. Fit, feel, trigger, ergonomics.

Too bad for having to get the kiddie version w/ 10 rd. mags. So, first change will be to install new sights.

Man, that is a beefy slide! Wow! There is no taper from bottom to top, like the VP9.

Wish it had the recoil system of the usp 40. (Looking forward to shooting the vp40 and usp 40 side-by-side).

The trigger feels smooth, unlike the VP9SK which I have.

I seem to be on a .40 kick.

    Next stop; usp compact 40.

And, 357SIG barrels for the uspc and vp40!
    Woohoo! Team .40 is GROWING.

Yes, go get that USP compact in .40 S&W.

I have two of the VP9's and one of the "L" kits, really like them a lot compared to other striker fired I've had.

Took it to the range today and put around 75 rounds through it, mixture of various brands of HP and FMJ. Ran flawlessly and accurately. Mild recoil. By contrast, much less snappy than my Glock 23 .40 caliber. I'm extremely impressed.

My VP40 has the mildest recoil of any handgun that I have ever shot, including my .40 caliber Glocks. It also fits my hand better than any gun that I have ever shot. I love it!

I could not hold off on the VP series forever, and purchased a BNIB VP40 LE for just a bit more than the OP. Great gun. Actually one of my favorites at the range.

To add to it, I have a VP9 long slide kit, which works perfectly on the frame. Fast and easy swap.
I had mags from my P30 9mm, so there was no additional cost to have cheap(er) range fun with the 9mm. Two guns in one! Lol

The VP40 has been my CCW for the last 2-3 years. Still waiting for a VP45..

    HK has a wonderful way of making soft shooting 40's. I have 5 HK's in 40S&W two of those are vp40 pistols. I love them. Two P30L v1 and a P30 v1 in 40S&W.

All of my USP pistols are 45ACP. Those are my absolute favorite pistols. From the compact to the tactical and expert. I get gitty just thinking about them.

A local PD that my buddy is in is issued the VP40. I shot it side by side with my VP9, and found the VP40 pretty darn fun to shoot as well. I’ll probably pick one up at some point just to have one. Especially with .40 handgun prices plummeting.
