    Default Vp9 longslide

Now that the kit is out...figure only a matter of time before the full firearm is released. Anyone have any inside info as to when this may be?

    Default VP9 longslide

For those of us in Kalifornia the long slide kit is a God-send. Due to barbaric gun “laws” in this socialist-inspired state, we can no longer even purchase a new VP9 or VP40–but we can damn well buy that new slide!

I purchased two new VP9s when first annnounced, and Kalifornia still had a bizarre gun purchasing program in existence—SSE—single shot exemption. Through that ass-backwards program, at least we could buy them. That program sun-settled before the VP40 was released. But, thanks to modern day gun designs, we can purchase a VP40 slide which fits a VP9 lower. Thus, we don’t have to technically buy a new to Kalifornia handgun. The announcement of the VP9L slide/barrel kit is welcome news.

    MAGA.

Love mine on my gray frame.

I actually purchased the long slide kit before I purchased my firearm.
Found a grey framed VP40 BNIB for a steal, so it was an easy decision. (still love me some .40!)
I am really enjoying the pistol for range fun.

I have been loving my Vp9l. I haven’t noticed any reliability issues and I’m shooting it more accurately than some other handguns with optics mounted. Is the size what is keeping people from viewing this as an appropriate carry gun or is it the slide cuts, or something else I’m missing?

A standard VP9 already has a very good sight radius. It is actually longer than that of P30 and closer to P30L. What's a particular advantage of a longer slide that's harder to conceal when standard length is more than adequate?

Def meant more as a race gun. As a carry gun I agree the standard vp9, or even better the vp9sk, is more than adequate and competent
