Default "Old" LE trade-in usp compact 40 (NEW!!!)

Here, we have a GREAT example of a USP COMPACT 40, AA on the slide.

Mark, at Summit Gun Broker did not disappoint with this HK usp that I bought!!
Except for two tiny, little shiny spots (one on the slide lever and one on a corner, at the muzzle), I'd swear that not one person laid hands on this pistol since HK shipped it out!
The barrel shows evidence that a few rounds have been fired from it (and not cleaned), but overall it looks like it sat in an armory and was never issued. It literally looks like hk grease is on the slide.

Mark said "It's a nice one". He has a gift for understatement! $368 with one mag. I got three extras.

    I'm thinking of a P30L .40

Three of the last four HKs that I have bought (all .40) have been sub-$500. USP ($358), uspc ($368), and VP40 ($475). The VP is new and I consider this usp compact new. P2000sk .40 LE was $699, new. Average of about $475 for four 40's.

I think it's time for a group photo. (These pics are of the uspc.)

Should I leave it as-is, or convert it to LEM? Shooting lefty I believe that I will change it to LEM.

It already has the compact HS.
Yep, I'll install a Nickel-plated sear spring with the LEM parts.

    bp1,

Welcome to the HK's little secret. All those 40 cal pistols they have sold for the past twenty ish years have now fallen out of favor with the up coming shooter.

Great. MORE for me. And great prices and in excellent shape. I'm fond of KH - actually all of the 94/99 made USP's. Not that the ones made post 99 are not good, they are. But it's funny that when a product comes out, it is really well made. Then improvements are made. Eventually changes occur.

The changes seem to be happening faster and faster these days.

    I like it as is.

I'd probably carry it cocked and locked like a 1911.

And yeah, I'd call that a "new old stock" gun.

Looks brand new. For that price, I would grab one myself.

    Correction: More for US!
Bring on the now unwanted, reconsidered, no longer desired, too heavy, not enough rounds, obsolete .40's!

There are PLENTY out there to share with any one who wants a well made, rarely used 20 year old HK pistol in the $500 or below category .

There are some really nice examples and Mark at SGB seems to have them in stock almost all the time.

KOST, now you are right on track

OPRAH ONCE SAID, "If you find a pair of shoes you like and they fit, BUY ONE IN EVERY COLOR"...

I'm assuming you can translate that to HK's... TWO IS ONE, etc, etc, etc
