    Default HK P7 W/Threaded BBL.

I have one of these but have no idea what the thread is. How is this determined? Is it metric or English?

That would be the left hand rainbow unicorn thread pitch. Seriously, I don't know but we do like pics here - let's see her.

I'm sure one of our resident P7 experts will chime in and welcome to the forum.

Would the gauges in a tap and die set be able to determine that?

As stated above, pictures would be a help. Is it a factory threaded barrel, or is it a third party threaded barrel, or has the factory barrel been extended and threaded? A competent gun smith should be able to tell you the thread pitch (but we would still like to see photos )
If "Dirty Harry" had been made in 1996:
"I know what you're thinking: 'Did he fire twelve shots or only eleven?' Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement, I've kinda lost track myself. But being this is a HK MARK 23, the only offensive handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel lucky?' Well, do ya, punk?"

Yes to the pic. And a second pic of the barell bore.

2 is 1 and 1 is none. Until the Mark 23.
