Default New P2000 V3 Hammer Wont Cock

so I just purchased a P2000 V3 and noticed that the hammer will not cock when the trigger is pulled back all the way and racking the slide. the hammer will only cock if I let off the trigger maybe 1/4" from stop. if it does cock, the trigger reset is inconsistent. the hammer will drop when I pull the trigger without letting it reset. the gun was purchased brand new. I have not live fired the gun yet. just dry firing. what is happening?

Are you certain it’s a V3 and not an LEM? Is there a safety lever or decocker? Pics would help, but to me it sounds like you’ve got an LEM trigger. Best of luck, I know there are others on here that would know way more than I.

Im sure this is a V3 as I also have an LEM HK45c. like I said. the hammer will not cock when the trigger is pulled all the way.

Just guessing here but is there a hammer lockout inside the magwell. You know, where you use the little key to disable it. Maybe that’s active. I dunno, like I said there are many others here that know way more than I. Again, good luck.

Seller or store is supposed to unlock the pistol upon receipt, if it's still locked, don't attempt to operate the slide or fire control system until it's unlocked, or you can damage things.

That does not look right. I would contact HK Cust Svc and request to have it shipped back and looked at.

    Sir,

Please call the number below to get a RMA to have the pistol sent in for repair. That does not look normal.

    Thank you

Good catch. That's a hammer-follow (possible inadvertent full-auto) condition, something with the sear.
Lockout feature, IIRC won’t let you operate the trigger/hammer/slide.

As determined, HK CS is in order.
