-SB tactical folding brace (mimics the famous folding stock for the MP5K)
-Aimpoint H2 on MFI co-witnessing mount, zero'd at 25 yards

    Bonus content:
-We used the magazine as a monopod a bit. I've heard suggestions that could cause malfunctions in an MP5 type platform. Nope. Worked flawlessly.
-We also shot hollow points, which I had also heard MP5s don't like. the guy running the event is an instructor for the city's SWAT team and he's trained a lot with MP5s and thought it was poppycock but we tried it out anyhow. the only fatality was in the water jugs we were shooting

So, two "myths" busted for anyone keeping score

I've heard the hollows do not work well in the original straight mp5 magazines. They changed for the U.S. market which was using hollows. No experience with this, but I believe I got this information from Garand Thumb on one of his MP5 videos.

SCPK, were you running a stock SP5k barrel? How did the SWAT guy like the firearm, did he have experience with Mp5's?

That very well could be. I could also see how that, through the miracle of the internet, may have gotten shortened by people into just "hollow points don't work in MP5s" :D

    To answer your questions:
    1. yes, stock barrel
    2. Yes, he has used them professionally for a significant amount of time. I'm not LE, so I apologize if I have the terms wrong but he's "certified" or something like that in MP5 - I think it was through FBI's school that SWAT people go to. The event was technically an AR class, but I was allowed to use the SP5K because I had the brace and because he was qualified to teach MP5s.
    3. The firearm definitely got his approval : D

I can concur with the OP. My SP5k is by far the most accurate pistol caliber firearm that I own. At 15 yards I can consistently shoot holes inside of holes. I haven’t taken it to 100 yards but I’ll try that out tomorrow.

My SP5k blows my MPX out of the water. So much for being the “MP5 killer.”

No pics of the target? Disappointed.
