    Default 9mm barrel in P2000 .40

I currently have a P2000 in 40 and would like to shoot 9mm. I have seen a couple of posts online that state you can drop a 9mm factory barrel in the P2000 40 without issue. Can anyone verify this?

I know this is possible with the Sig P239 as I have one with all 3 barrels. I even use the 40 mage loaded up with 9mm with no problems.

    Thank you.

You can install a complete .40 slide on a 9mm frame and vice versa as the frames are the same. You will also need caliber specific magazines. You cannot simply drop-in the barrel.

When in doubt, call the mothership.

    Sig/Glock does this/that… meaning what.
Sig has an OEM Caliber X-Change Kit for my P226 and I’m tempted if a .357, not a .40SW.
IIRC HK-P (a 3rd party vendor) has a 9mm P2000 slide kit but you still need a barrel, where are you by the time you add it up.

I’ve seen that discussion by dropping a 9 barrel/RSA and ‘confirmed’ by HK-USA.
    Call the mothership to ‘re-confirm’.

Y'all realize the case dimensions between the 2 calibers are different right?

Really want a smaller caliber shell shifting around against a larger breech face in the slide?

Pure stupidity if you ask me, many thousands of psi inside there, one of these pistols won't tolerate loose dimensions, then someone is going to get injured.

This topic comes up waaaay too often here, get your calipers out....goodness

Haven't read thru this thread, but HKs are not Sigs, and Sigs are not HKs when it comes to 9/40 conversion barrel drop-in's. They won't work in any HK handgun. If you choose to do it anyway despite all the warnings, prepare to lose your fingers and hands.

2 is 1 and 1 is none. Until the Mark 23.
