Default Some of you may remember my rescue p2000sk

A few years ago I was cruising my local fun store and found this gun sitting by itself in the used guns section.

Even though it was nasty, it spoke to me and given the out-the-door price of around 300.00 I decided it needed a caring home. I called it the 'mud duck' because.....well.......it looked like one. I kept it as is though thinking that it was fine for what it was. As months became years I began swapping in parts I preferred and the mud duck began to look mangy. The last straw was the night sights I ordered for it. I went to put them on and I just couldn't do it. It occurred to me that it's time to show this girl some respect. So I disassembled her, separated the duracoated parts and off to the cerakote guy's house I went.

It came back to me expeditiously but I've been swamped at work and with some family difficulties so she sat in pieces on my bench waiting........waiting........waiting. By the time I went to reassemble, I had kinda forgotten how the parts went in. @TooSixy to the rescue. His LEM conversion thread in the reference library made the reassembly possible. I highly recommend a review of his RL threads to include the VP9 detail strip thread. Bigbore's LEM trigger lightening thread helped with some parts orientation pics. Anyway, without further gilding the lily, here she is all spiffed up. Reassembled, lubed, new nights and extended mag release paddles. I did keep the VP9 charging supports. they help these craggly hands with cycling.

I liked that too. It is a dark knight now, not the mud duck....
