Default Worth picking up an extra USP 40 expert barrel?

Is it worth picking up an extra barrel for an USP Expert 40 considering they don't make them anymore? I have the gun already and was considering using in for USPSA. I am not sure if barrel fitting would be required for that model or not.

    Thanks

For non-HK barrels, a barrel fitting will be required because of the tight tolerances between barrel and slide.

For HK barrels, probably not, but be mindful that each USP40 Expert was hand-fitted at the factory, making each Expert somewhat unique.

You have to be an exceptionally high-volume shooter to wear out one of these barrels. Personally, I'd just buy a bunch of o-rings and call it a day.

I bought an extra expert 45 barrel a few years back when I was shooting my expert quite a bit. I just found it and laughed, it will never need this barrel.

While I don't have a 40expert, I have my original Duty USP40. I Stopped counting rounds in 2010 at 50k, Last year I finally replaced the nested recoil rod and springs along with the putting in a threaded barrel for future suppressor use. It still shoots amazingly well. I still have the original barrel. It only has finish wear on it.
