Default Stuck Aluminum compensator from HKparts on the picitinny rail of my VP9 tactical 9mm

What advise would you have for getting the match weight compensator off of the picatinny rail?

lube it with some 3-in-1 oil and let sit for an hour or two.
gently warm the aluminum with a hair dryer and see if thermal expansion lets it come free.
rest it on a couple large ice cubes to try for thermal contraction for the same reason, if heat doesn't work.
get a soft faced hammer and tap on it to get it to move.

the above is not necessarily an order of operations.

How did the match weight get stuck on the rail? I have never had that problem. Can you load a pic?
