Anyone know that skinny on these FDE USP9's hitting the market? They are all over GB. Are they legit HK color frames? or are they coated frames?

Look pretty legit to me. Check out the label on the case.

Future: Done, until HK comes out with something new & nifty. Might start building an FNH collection.

These are factory FDE and were added to California's approved roster recently. So it's a real deal, GR.

Similar to the USP9c (gray) in 2018--- even the darker color!!!
HK GmbH is going all out for the U.S. (CA.) market.

I was thinking about this last night when GR posted about it. First time I'd seen an FDE USP. I know the Gray USPs were aimed at the CA market too. I think it is pretty good marketing strategy.

The ban-state market can't be that large, not for a company of HK's size. So if you're going to put out guns with 10rd mags, which folks in the free states would normally never buy, sweeten the appeal by making the frames different colors. On more than one occasion I've thought about grabbing a gray .45 and last night was oggling those FDE's last night, too.

I wouldn't be surprised if no one in CA manages to grab an FDE USP before all us koch addicts snort them up and before long they re-sell for $1500 or so.

Not for nothing, but my working theory on why OD USP's are so rare is that you have them ALL, Tony. You're the De Beers of USPs.

Contrary to popular belief, I only have one (1) USP (black)--- but it is my favorite, all-purpose sidearm!!!

Interestingly 2 of the 3 sellers are not located in Ca.

What the.... You have only one?
With all the knowledge you have in USP, how can you stand to only have one?

Looks like the same shade of FDE as what’s used on the VP9.
