I believe AG date code is when civilian production of the USP45CT began. Pre-production would be AF or earlier, but there are also prototype non CT-marked as well.

Yours is the first I've seen with matching SNs but not marked CT. I also noticed the box is marked "PISTOLE". Perhaps it's a Canadian import due to barrel length restrictions?

Mine is roll marked CT and has a serial numbered barrel

Also, my box says Compact Tactical on the handle and has Pistol spelled in the American fashion

No Sir but I appreciate the inquiry. By chance do you know anything about this particular version and whether its a normal run? Im not even sure I am phrasing that correct with asking about the "version" or "run".

Date code and serial number--- check "inside" of the frame for an import marking, and tell us if it came with a German manual (white/gray)!!!

Correct--- pre-production was also marked CT--- I am thinking a Euro import (no "pat. pend." on right grip).

Here is a similar one, but with "pat. pend."/"HK USP") on the grips (like "prototype"/"pre-production"), unknown importer, and no serial number on the right barrel (like "prototype"/"pre-production"), but in the "production" range--- or is it just a COMPACT with added, threaded barrel with no serial number (?)--- thinking it is the former, but a leftover from "pre-production" inventory!!!

Wonderful!! Thanks so much everyone. I will get some pics of the inside of the frame and see if there is anything in there to note. Might be later tonight.

Since you are in Canada perhaps there are no import requirements and that's how they are all marked. Surely not a US import eh.......
