Good to hear someone else has problems with Winchester white box. It feeds fine in the 10 round mags that came with my P30SK. It stovepipes more than it ejects in the factory 13 round mags. Thought I had bad mags but HSTs go through those extended mags like grain through a goose.

Mine is pretty new too and doesn't like 115gr. Fails to lock open and out of 15 rounds, at least 3 or 4 don't chamber properly.

Switched to 124gr and no problems at all so far. Have about 500 rounds through it now so might switch back to 115gr to see if the recoil spring is worked in enough by now.

Federal 124 since start. At ~300 without a single malfunction.

I did some research here and Google searching that advised 124 grade. Glad that I did.

I have a vp 9 bought used. Ex owner said it had abt 500 rds through it.
Have put 2k more since getting it. abt 70%-80% reloads - rest factory ammo.
    115, 124 & 147 gns.
Never failed in any way, shape, form or fashion.
    Trust it 100%.

Finally made it to the range today. I’m happy to report that my 125gr loads worked 100%. Still getting used to the pistol. It definitely needs a set of grit Talon Grips.

Another question, does the VP9 have some kind of stepped chamber or something? Every single piece of brass fired from it has this ring around it, regardless of load. Brass from my G45 did not exhibit this.

Typical of HK to have the original 9x19 (stepped chamber) specs, you would think Glock would retain it since Luger was Austrian.

Crazy. I’ve owned and shot a LOT of different 9mm’s and never seen brass have a ring like this.
