Owned one for 4 months and sold it. Hated the trigger trough. Hk45c is the better version with same capacity and more uses.

I just purchased an HK USP EXPERT 45acp yeah it's big but damn 12rnds and again damn nice gun ! I will say this thou HK could have made this easily a 14rnd or 15rnd capacity look at the FNX way smaller mag but more capacity and those mags are reliable as hell saw my freind shooting his put atleast 10,000 rnds thru his FNX he is a competition shooter so he is getting ready to sell his off and buy another FNX 45. I wish HK would up the capacity of their pistols especially the 45acp guns held atleast 13rnds would up their game.

I have large hands, and I can grip the USP45 far better and more comfortably than the HK45. I prefer the aggressive grip of the USP45 and not the light-sand paper grip of the HK45, which offsets the Batman ergo grip of the HK45. And the trigger guard channel of the HK45 is annoying. Ergos and capacity? USP45 is a win-win. To each his own, my friend.
I have three full size HK45s and I like them a lot. I carry one in the woods in a safepacker on the waist belt of my pack loaded with 45 super and another is stashed in a handy location in the house with an Octane. I just shoot the HK45 better enough than the USP that I'm likely to do more damage with 10 than with 12 from a USP.
I love the USP too tho. Can't go wrong with either imo.
Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid.
I agree with EricZ in that almost all focus is in 9MM these days and mostly the small but higher capacity thin ones at that. 9MM ammo has gotten silly cheap too. I don't see much talk about .45 anywhere other than when discussing 1911s. Love my HK45 and tried the USP45 but not for me. I don't read hardly anything about V8 engines these days either as almost all talk is about 4 cylinder. HK45 is still the great gun it always was. If one has not read the results of Todd Green's 50,000 endurance test of the HK45 it is a must read for those interested in this remarkable pistol and pretty refreshing in these times where so many think a pistol going 1000 rounds trouble free is a big deal.
