It's been a long time since they were discussed much. Just wondering. I like mine. Hadn't touched it in over a year. Fondled it a bit tonight. What do you think?

They do feel good in the hand, how ever I love my +sized usp's and can't get over the 10rd thing.

They are fantastic in the hand. And.....HUGE, dimensionally, for what it is....a 10+1 pistol.

I tried to love the HK45, but for the life of me I couldn't figure out what it was for. The USP is noticeably smaller/more concealable, so for me that makes more sense as a .45 carry gun, if you're into that. And - it holds 12+1, so it wins, in my book.

If ergonomics are your primary concern, you hate the USP 45, capacity isn't near the top of your list, and you don't mind the size (using it for home defense or just range time)....then it's a really, really amazing 45. It just seems to fit a very small niche.

Also, I really hated the base plates on the magazines. Just awful. They're so different than all my other flat floor plate mags and made reloading a nightmare.

I agree. The 10 rd thing seems short sighted. Seems they could have at least done 12.

Full size USP plus hogue grip and never gave the HK45 a second look. 12 rd mags available too if that matters.

Not with me . I just bought last week a NIB full size LE model with night sights and 3 mags for $724.00 .

As long as the HK45 holds 2 less rounds than the USP45, it will always be second best. Just wondering. Did Larry Vickers and Ken Hackathorn ever envision the HK45 to hold 10 rounds in the mag? Or was that an HK call?

While on summer vacation, I was in a state that only allows 10 round mags. My hk45 made the trip and was the best tool for the job. More capacity would be nice, but there is nothing to find fault with on the gun.

I on the other hand have no problem with 10 round capacity in .45 ACP. The HK45 remains one of my favorite handguns.
