"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing"
Edmund Burke
Redpillregret,
At least you admit your mistakes
The first thing is that you obviously DON'T HUNT. You don't even KNOW about or understand what it takes to go far afield to harvest large wild game. There are probably a lot other things you don't know about either.
My nephew and BIL recently took a friend of theirs on his first elk hunt. He got a MASSIVE buck with a 12 point rack. And either my nephew or his dad WERE carrying the S&W 500 with them. WHY? Because the S&W 500 is a BEAR stopper.
Just like the MARK 23 is a man stopper. Regardless of what other folks say, at the time, the MARK 23 was exactly what the DOD requested.
Has time moved on and perhaps a smaller lighter pistol might be a better choice. I understand that the USP 45 compact tactical or the HK 45 compact tactical is becoming the favored pistol for spec op forces these day.
Hey, time moves on. Things get better. No one is riding horses these days. Well, not to get to work or go to the store.
There are better choices for transportation, just like there are NOW better choices for spec for warriors to carry.
But as an FRACKING OLD GUY, I know for fact that my 1970 deuce is a great truck. Is it the 'NEW HOTNESS'?
No it's not. DOES IT STILL WORK AS WELL AS IT WAS DESIGNED?
YOU BET
Protect and defend against all enemies, both foreign and domestic
A rattlesnake in the living room ends all discussion of animal rights.
"Vengeance is mine" sayeth the Lord, but sometimes he subcontracts.
And that is enough of that.
