    Propaganda!!!
The Mark 23 is my preferred, apocalyptic sidearm.
Funny--- to be so "bad", the Mark 23 certainly sells well.

I don't agree the MK23 failed. HK is still producing them and selling them. It is an iconic pistol.

It's funny because when I read the article the author did NOT actually spell out any specific reasons -

    Like it failed because of
    1
    2
    3
    etc

Just a lot of BS about things that OTHER gun companies make. NO reasons for any failure. Hmmm, I find it interesting that the Mark23 has only had about 19k made (my memory is a little hazy on the number made to date) but that they still make new ones occasionally. And they can still be purchased new in the civilian market...

get one soon of this 'failed firearm'... before HK does replace them

Agreed....fully. There were no "direct" mentions of failures, which is why I posted. Again.....I don't have a "hate on" for the Mk23.....just posting what I found.

For those who think Mark23 is too big, you must’ve been holding it in the wrong way! It’s an assault weapon, so you need to hold it this way. You’d appreciate it’s size when you do.

The under rail laser/light device is the perfect place for your support hand. Not only you get better weight balance (especially with a suppressor attached), you get more control on aiming and muzzle rise.

Yes, it was a failure. The Mk23 was intended to serve US special operators (not us civvies) and it fell flat in that community, not because it failed to meet spec, but because of operator opinion of its large size. And that's the irony. The Mk23's large size was in the spec!

No, it was not a failure. When the Mk23 became available to us civvies (after it's failure in spec ops), civilian demand and popularity kept the Mk23 production lines open. And, it's been that way since the mid-1990s. That's the Mk23's unintended success. It's iconic as you say!

I really like my Mark 23, it is one of my sleeping partners. It is accurate and reliable. Those who post garbage on line about how bad the Mark 23 is are just plain jealous because they do not have one. Also, for being such so called garbage, like Tony stated, it sells. Just my two cents.

The haters are likely those that do not have one or can't justify the cost to own one.

I'm guessing those who own it love it.
