    Default HK P7M8 parts/repairs

    Hi,

I have heard that it is getting increasingly harder to get parts/repairs for the P7 pistols.

    First, is this true?

If a P7 needs repairs/parts, what is to be done? Are there any gunsmiths that can fabricate parts? Is that economically feasible? Are there quality aftermarket parts available if HK isn't making them?

Any advice/information would be helpful. Thank you.

The P7 series is long out of production and no longer truly supported by HK. New parts are not being made by HK. So what is out there is it and the prices are rising. I am not aware of anyone who has picked up the ball to make reproduction parts. Not sure if the market would support it.

Pardon my ignorance, I am new to the P7. Is there any particular part(s) that is more susceptible to failure or needed for maintenance.

    Thanks

Your best bet for P7 repairs and maintenance is going to be forum member @Marine0303 of Teufelshund Tactical.
I believe he has a good stock of spare parts for the guns he services as well.
