Default Need a little USP assembly help

Usually i don't have much trouble doing the reassembly, but i can't remember what this little spring attached to the hammer hooks
on. My USP is SA/DA i believe 94 vintage. If anyone has a detailed drawing of pictures showing what the spring hooks onto, that
    would be very helpful.

    Thank you in advance

Are you sure yours is a DA/SA and not a DAO? It's a DAO hammer.

Positive. I fired it before disassembly. I'm thinking the spring is the hammer rebound spring, just not sure what or how it hooks to.

My uneducated guess would be that someone put a DAO hammer in a DA/SA gun in which case you wouldn’t need that spring. What I don’t know is if that hammer will stay cocked.

I had one of these early da/sa guns with this hammer rebound spring. I took it apart to replace this spring.
Mine was broken. Hammer would not retract all the way when dry firing. Or would flop a little after hammer was down.

Once I installed the new spring i re assembled. I don’t remember having to do anything unusual to put it back together.
I followed one of the tutorials on here.

Do you remember if one end hooked onto something? It has to, otherwise, the spring wouldn't make the hammer rebound.

Can you direct me to the tutorials that helped you?

    It’s been a while. I really can’t remember.

Here are some videos I watched. Sorry I can’t be more of an assistance.

If it is a LEM it sits behind the sear(I pull it up with a dental pick) and in front of the hammer. If not I would guess the hammer hooks to the hammer strut. Sorry if I am adding more confusion but I want to see you get it fixed.

Curious if you figure what the plate assembly was?
