    Default Detail stripping P30L question

When removing the extractor roll pin and the firing pin block roll pin, can these roll pins be reused or do they need to be replaced with new ones?
    Thank you in advance.

I would say reuse if they are not damaged in any way. I use roll pin punches to remove and reinstall.

You could ask James and see what he says. @Marine0303

HK recommends that they be replaced when removed. They are cheap so why not? Of course in a pinch they can be reused. It’s your life, you decide if it’s worth a couple bucks or not...

My view is given the cost = why not (replace it). Mechanical action of a split roll pin compress to an oval in the slot, it does not compress along its circumference.
The only mod I’ve done is the 45c mag release on a USP9c, I replaced the roll pin. Then (after testing) I reverted back to the oem sm mag release, and again installed a new roll pin.
The difference here is my mod is (frame) pin/poly-slot vs. your (slide) pin/metal-slot. I did not find the pin walking in my testing/mod and it may be overkill with yours = but then again why not (replace it).

Thank you for your answers. It's certainly not the cost but rather having them on hand before I strip the gun. Thanks again.
