I've handled a few over the years, but never got to shoot one. Can't say I ever really see any used ones on the selves either. Must be something to that.

My favorite HK model is the p2000 series. The SK line is fantastic for EDC and I’ve got a regular p2000 in .40. V3 that I put a set of Trijicon HD’s on. I’m looking to buy a new p2000 in V2 with LEM in 9mm if I could ever find a new one! They seem to be hard to find and “out of stock”. Not interested in a used one. It’s on my next hit list!! Great pistols! Also hard to believe the US Border Patrol is switching to the G19. What a shame. IMO the p2000 is twice the quality firearm the G19 is. All about money I guess. Still sad. I’ve got a Gen 5 19 and it’s a great pistol but doesn’t handle, shoot or feel nearly as well compared to the p2000 series.

The p2000 really is a great size and solid shooter! Sometimes underrated but definitely one of the best out there in the popular 9mm compact size.

Interesting how the article uses the SK for the pic (at least no backwards ammo!). Also think the author meant to say it’s an upgrade of the USPc, but of course that’s a matter of opinion like the rest of the piece.

While I don’t have one (don’t like the texture), it definitely is a design that works in a variety of applications and I can see why it has its fans.

I love my P2k on 357 Sig for EDC.

I have a boat load of Hk pistols, but sadly, no p2000 yet. It's on the list to get if I can find a great deal.

Great and underrated pistol. I still prefer USP over it though. Unfortunately I believe that USP overshadowing the P2000 is partly at fault for it being underrated.

On a separate note, the author lacks decent editing:
“The P2000 is essentially an upgrade of the P2000 compact...”
I assume he meant: upgrade of USP compact.
